Great game, very suspenseful and it was nice to see the Cooper system in action against a very good defensive team in the Wild. If Bishop stellar play continues the Lightning will win lots of hockey games, he stood on his had for about 1 minute in the 2nd period. The Bolts played a disciplined game tonight, it was nice to see Gudas for the first time in 4 games on this home stand not get caught out of position going for hits. I think Hedman and Carle are going to have big point years in Coopers system, Carle's pass to Stammer on the GW was a great play and Stamkos's shot was sick in real time at the game. I am continually impressed by Sustr, Aulie I wish you were better because I hate to see we traded Ashton away for him to ride the pine.

Lastly, I hope the forum fills back up for the all the East teams that are going to ride in soon. While it is still 80% against West teams I wish some more fans showed up to support the team. They are young, fast, skilled... not to get ahead of myself but I am looking forward to the ride.

Probably the Wilds worst game so far this season. Defensively speaking that is, way to many pucks getting in behind the defense. Wild were not ready for the speed of the Tampa transition game. Harding played as well as anyone could have asked. Still much to iron out here in Minne! Kudos to Bishop, he played a hell of a game! Good win Bolts fans!

Awesome game!

Salo had a good game (I notice he has made a few mistakes in the last few).
Hedman is improving, joining the rush.

We are finding a way to win against tough teams.

Another good scrap against the B's coming up- we can deal.

My rant for the day:

To anyone who follows the Lightning,
We are the "Lightning" or "Bolts" NOT The "Ning" . Please get your poop right or STFU! Referring to this team as the "Ning" is only for dumbasses or LAMF . The only time a "Ning" will be used is when you ask a Lightning fan "how the Ning doing?" And they proceed to high-five you, in the face, with a hot frying pan and sound it makes is similiar to a "Ning" ! Got it? Good or GTFO.

Have a nice day!

Bishop is our #1... he's taken the job, for the time being. Maybe the most consistent goaltending to start a season that we've seen since Khabibulin. (remembering that Roloson's miracle run didn't start 'til the new year that season).

Sujstr has completely surprised me. I didn't think he was anywhere near this ready for full time NHL duty. Cooper's training camp, conditioning program and systems seem to make it easier for young player to transition into the big league.

Incredible stuff.

Also, Killorn - sleeper pick for the year. I keep saying it, but those still stocking up their hockey pools, take notice. Fillpula has also been a wonderful surprise.

Stammer got it right when he said that it's a shame Val was hidden behind Datsyuk and Zetterberg for all those years. People are just starting to see how good he is.

I know all have stiffies over how the Bolts are playing, but there are still 75 games to go, so put it back in your pants (or skirt ) ok?

Filppula's been good. That's my only point. Do I expect this team to continue dominating? No. But it's nice to win. You can't make the playoffs in October, but you can miss them (See: Sabres, Buffalo).

I recall reading it on the Lightning website, and then in an Erlendsson piece I think. I'm sure everybody took note.
